  • Miami Dolphins
    A professional American football team, Miami Dolphins is from Miami, Florida. The team was established in 1966 and plays their home games at Dolphin Stadium. The Dolphins are members of the Eastern Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL).

    In 1984, the Dolphins won their first 11 games en route to a 14-2 season and in 1985 Miami finished 12-4 and was the only team that beat the 15-1 Chicago Bears all year. By 1990, the Dolphins finished with a 12-4 record. In the 2001 season the Dolphins finished 11-5 and also earned a wild card. In 2002, the Dolphins rebounded to win four straight games. In 2004, Dolphins dropped their first six games.

    Cam Cameron serves as the current head coach of the team. The team wears uniforms of colors: Aqua Green, Coral Orange, White, and Navy Blue. Wayne Huizenga is the owner of Miami Dolphins. Since their foundation the team has won two league championships, two super bowl championships, five conference championships and twelve division championships. The teams’ logo consists of a dolphin wearing a helmet with the sun shining behind it.

  • Miami Heat
    A professional American basketball team, Miami Heat is based in the Miami, Florida. The team is a member of the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference in the National Basketball Association. Pat Riley is the current head coach of the team. The team is the current NBA Champions after defeating the Dallas Mavericks in the 2006 NBA Finals. The team was founded in 1988.

     In the first round of the 1989 NBA Draft, the heat picked Glen Rice from the University of Michigan. In 1994–95, the Heat drafted Kevin Willis and Billy Owens. The Heat missed Mourning for 69 games in 2000-01. During 2006 playoffs, Miami Heat drew the seventh seed Chicago Bulls as their first round opponent. The team won first two games of the series and lost next two but again won fifth, sixth games and threw the Bulls from the playoffs.

    The Miami Heat were outplayed by the Dallas Mavericks in the first two games in Dallas. Finally on June 20, the team won the championship. The team wears uniforms of colors: red, black, white, and orange. Since 1988, the team has won one league championship, one conference title and six division titles.

  • Florida Marlins
    A Major League Baseball team, Florida Marlins is based in Miami, Florida. The Marlins play their home games at Dolphin Stadium that is located in the suburb of Miami Gardens. The team is currently a member of the Eastern Division in the National League. Florida Marlins was founded in 1993.  Since 1993, the team has won two World Series titles, two NL Pennants and two wild card berths.

    The Marlins won their first game on April 5, 1993, against the Dodgers. In 1997, the  Florida Marlins went on to face the Cleveland Indians in the 1997 World Series and won in seven games. After winning the World Series title the team traded off the most talented players. Same year in 1998 the Marlins’ slumped to 54-108 that was known as the worst record in the National League.

    Again in 2003, the team won another World Series title. After the All-Star break, the Marlins began to break both franchise and MLB records. Unlike any other team the Marlins came back from 11-31 to reach the .500 mark at 68-68. In 2004, the Marlins became the only MLB club with a cheerleading squad. In 2006, Marlins also had five ten-game winners for the first time in franchise history.

  • Florida Panthers
    A professional ice hockey, Florida Panthers is based in Miami, Florida. The team was founded in 1993 and currently is member of the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference in the National Hockey League (NHL). The Panthers play their home games at BankAtlantic Center that is located in the city called Sunrise, Florida. Jacques Martin is the current head coach of the team.

    The first season was considered as the most successful season where its major stars were New York Rangers goaltender castoff John Vanbiesbrouck, rookie Rob Niedermayer, and Scott Mellanby, who scored 30 goals. During 1996 playoffs, the Panthers beat the Boston Bruins in 5 games. The team only won one conference championship during 1995-96 seasons.
